The Federation has been working with the Governor and the State Legislature on the establishment of $5M Companion Animal Capital Fund that would help defray the costs of capital projects at the state’s animal shelters. Over 20 shelter executives have signed on to a letter asking the Governor to include the funding in his 2016-17 Executive Budget. We are also collecting data from shelters about their capital needs. If your shelter has not participated, please click here to complete the survey. Your input is crucial.
