Join the Fed and MEGA on Thursday, May 21st at noon for a webinar with our new corporate partner, the Municipal Electric and Gas Alliance (MEGA). MEGA is a nonprofit organization created to help New York local governments, schools and non profits better manage their energy costs through cooperative purchasing.
This session will focus on how your shelter can better understand and manage electricity and natural gas costs, and how MEGA can help support more stable and predictable energy budgeting.
Georgie Taylor, ED of the Schuyler County Humane Society and a Fed Board Member will talk about her experience with the program and how it has helped the shelter save money.
During this session, MEGA will explain how its aggregated purchasing approach works, and how it can help shelters improve budget stability and reduce exposure to the ups and downs of energy costs. MEGA will also provide a brief update on current New York energy market conditions, including trends affecting electricity and natural gas pricing and what those dynamics may mean for shelters in the months ahead.
